Our WHY

In various organizations, the breakdown of leadership doesn’t start at the top of the company. In fact, we believe the breakdown of leadership occurs at the bottom of the company, in a non-intentional manner. The problem is that a lot of people believe that to be a leader, you have to be in a management position. Leadership starts much earlier than that. If you have one person who looks up to you in your company, congratulations, you are now a leader in your organization!

While there are a lot of cybersecurity podcasts, there aren’t a lot of podcasts dedicated to leadership in cybersecurity, which is the niche Re-Correlated is planning to fill. From being a junior leader on the team to growing into more official management positions, we plan to give some insight on how to lean on your leadership skills to solidify your position in their company. Our goal is to give leaders in cybersecurity the resource needed to learn how to effectively lead new talent and how to handle the politics in the field.

Core Values

  • Integrity and accountability have been ingrained into each of our cores and we will hold each other accountable to do the right thing at all costs.

  • Opposing views are important to expand one’s perspective, so we promise to welcome all unpopular opinions with respect and appreciation.

  • Who we are in each episode is the same person we are when you meet us in real life, awkwardly introverted and all.

  • We believe the value we provide will generate the views we are looking to obtain, not the other way around. The content we produce is aimed at solving the problem we seek to solve.

  • We believe failure gives us our best lessons. It isn’t about being perfect, but being resilient through our failures, which teaches us the most important lessons about ourselves and about our goals.

Hollis

Hollis Henderson started his career in high frequency communications in the U.S. Army. His interest originally peaked with the rifleman radio, which had a function that would allow the voice of a soldier to hop around objects, and since then Hollis has chased blinking lights. His initial point of entry was in IT in a HelpDesk role. His experience and knowledge quickly accelerated him to a senior HelpDesk position, where he was continuing education full time in pursuit of a degree. As the transition to Senior HelpDesk occurred he found a love for Systems Automation and Networking. This led him through security, systems, and to his true passion, network security. Continuing education is a driving force for Hollis and he acknowledges his love of networks must change to a love of the cloud; but, someone's lights are blinking somewhere.
